Engineer, Engineering Documentation at Danfoss, Pune

1.1.

• The employee will be part of the Specialty BU at DIIC R&D and Engineering organization in Fluid Conveyance group within - Danfoss Power Solutions and will report to Specialty BU engineering manager Magarpatta, India

1.2.

• The primary responsibility of this role is to manage, standardize, and maintain all technical documentation related to LCDC products. This includes engineering prints, 3D models, test reports, certifications, and internal standards. The engineer will also support CPE activities by ensuring documentation aligns with internal and external specifications, and by driving consistency, traceability, and compliance across global teams.

• Define formats and templates for all LCDC technical documents (assembly prints, test reports, reliability statements, etc.)
• Ensure content consistency, clarity, and compliance with ISO, OCP, and customer-specific standards.
• Maintain version control and distribution processes for all documents using PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter).
• Organize and manage document storage across platforms (Info-Center, PowerSource, SAP).

1.5.

• Maintain simplified 3D models for LCDC products (external geometry and ports only).
• Support drawing creation and review for assembly prints, ensuring dimensional accuracy and tolerance alignment.

1.6.

• Manage summary and specific test reports (e.g., pressure drop curves, salt spray, seal washout).
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to collect, store, and distribute certificates (e.g., UL).

1.7.

• Build and maintain internal LCDC standards for cleanliness, appearance, packaging, marking, and leak testing.
• Collaborate with global teams to align standards across regions and product lines.

1.8.

• Experience fluid conveyance product (Hose fittings, Connectors) in Hydraulics domain

• Timely and error-free delivery of all LCDC documentation.
• High consistency and traceability across document types.
• Effective collaboration with global engineering teams.
• Continuous improvement in document processes and tools.

• Position is located in Pune, India
• Need to work closely with engineering team across various region

2. Candidate

2.1.

• Bachelors in mechanical engineering from reputed institute with minimum first class OR distinction, Formal certification in technical writing would be an advantage.

2.2.

• Candidate must be proficient in UG-NX and Creo with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience including solid modelling of component & product assembly. Detail drawing of complex products & equipment.
• Candidate must have experience of interpreting meaningful technical information referring to industry standards, product validation reports necessary for developing the engineering documentation independently

2.4.

• Experience with cross cultural teams in multiple Fluid Conveyance locations- global team exposure.
• Work closely with CPE, product engineering, and application engineering teams to support product development and compliance.
• Participate in global meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
