Engineer-Electroplating

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Plating, providing technical guidance to the team on handling chemicals and their composition according to requirements. Additionally, you will build organizational capability within Souriau India by utilizing resources in the plating shop effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Possess knowledge of different Electroplating processes and associated chemicals - Familiarity with hazardous processes and emergency chemical handling - Hands-on experience in identifying plating defects, conducting root cause analysis, and troubleshooting processes - Manage daily production activities and strive to achieve set targets - Supervise operators on the shop floor - Plan work according to daily requirements - Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies like KAIZEN - Ability to use BMI reports and knowledge of line balancing - Prepare reports on key indicators Qualifications: - Degree in B.Tech Chemical or MSC in Chemistry is preferred, but relevant experience can be considered - Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in Electroplating Additional Details: The company expects you to have skills in Electroless Nickel, Cadmium, Zinc-Nickel, Alodine, and other passivation processes. You should also possess qualities such as ethics, business acumen, strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communication, and change management abilities.
