As a Plating Incharge at Souriau India, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Plating department. Your primary role will involve providing technical guidance to the team on chemical handling and composition, ensuring that processes meet the required standards. You will play a key role in building organizational capabilities within the Plating shop by utilizing available resources effectively. Your responsibilities will include having a deep understanding of various Electroplating processes and associated chemicals, as well as knowledge of hazardous processes and emergency chemical handling procedures. You will be expected to apply your expertise in identifying Plating defects, conducting root cause analysis, and troubleshooting process issues to ensure smooth operations. In this role, you will be in charge of managing daily production targets, overseeing shop floor operators, and planning work schedules based on daily requirements. Your experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as KAIZEN will be crucial in driving operational efficiency and quality. To qualify for this position, you should hold a degree in B.Tech Chemical or MSC Chemistry, or possess equivalent experience in the field. With 5-8 years of overall experience in Electroplating, you should have a solid grasp of Electroplating processes such as El.Nickel, Cadmium, Zinc-Nickel, Alodine, and other passivation techniques. In addition to technical skills, you should demonstrate key attributes such as ethical conduct, business acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and effective verbal and written communication. Your ability to adapt to change and drive continuous improvement initiatives will be essential for success in this role.
