Description
As an Electrical Design Engineer (FPGA Logic Design) in the Systems Integration Group (SIG) at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing FPGA and/or SoC solutions for advanced semiconductor manufacturing test equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams located around the world to ensure the successful integration of FPGA designs in various projects, contributing to innovative test solutions and enhancing system performance. Responsibilities: - Derive FPGA and SoC design specifications from system requirements - Develop modules and top-level implementations using HDL - Debug RTL code using modern simulation tools for coverage closure and functional correctness - Perform Synthesis, Place and Route (PAR), and Static Timing Analysis (STA) - Generate verification test plans and perform end-to-end simulations - Collaborate with other design disciplines such as electrical, software, and systems engineering - Support electrical engineers during PCB assembly verification phases - Prepare technical documentation including design requirements, specifications, test reports, and user manuals - Provide regular progress updates to team members and leadership - Participate in the improvement of digital (FPGA/ASIC) design processes Qualifications Required: - BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline - Proficiency with FPGA logic design using HDL like Verilog/VHDL and SystemVerilog - Experience integrating and testing third-party IP cores/blocks Preferred Additional Skills: - Experience with FPGA/ASIC development EDA tools like AMD/Xilinx Vivado, Intel/Altera Quartus - Understanding of common protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART/Serial, JTAG, PCIe, etc. - Familiarity with DDR4+ memory interfaces and their implementation in FPGA and SoC designs - Hands-on experience with embedded systems and microprocessor/microcontroller integration - Experience with clock domain crossing, timing constraints, pin assignment, and layout constraints - Knowledge of UVM methodology for verification - Expertise in laboratory debug techniques using digital scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other measurement devices - Solid foundation of engineering skills, including project planning and completion - Familiarity with networking protocols, interfacing with ADC and DAC devices, RISC-V, ARM-based SOCs - Experience with Linux OS, scripting/programming languages like Tcl and Python, and configuration management tools like Git About Micron Technology, Inc.: Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate, and advance faster than ever.
