Engineer Building Maintenance Services

Qualcomm India Private Limited is looking for a skilled Building Maintenance Engineer to join their Facilities & Security Group within the Facilities Engineering team. As a Building Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of buildings and their equipment. Your responsibilities will include maintaining high-quality standards while balancing cost and time, conducting regular inspections, coordinating maintenance and repair projects, and adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain the highest standards of quality with a focus on cost and time management. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders both orally and in writing. - Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems to detect and address issues proactively. - Use analytical skills to identify and implement effective solutions promptly. - Lead, manage, and educate internal teams on quality, time, and cost considerations. - Utilize critical thinking skills for problem-solving and project management. - Work on repairs and maintenance requests of all sizes, including civil, interiors, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems. - Create, track, and close a 52-week maintenance plan with a budget. - Collaborate with finance and procurement teams on budgeting and planning. - Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and codes. - Coordinate maintenance projects, manage contractors and vendors, and ensure work is completed to industry standards. - Maintain records of maintenance work, conduct equipment inventory, and create maintenance schedules. - Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance facility efficiency. - Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan. Key Deliverables: - Provide value for money through innovative solutions and cost optimization. - Deliver high-quality repairs and upgrades with predictive schedules. - Generate monthly reports and maintain zero safety incidents. - Prepare, track, and report on budgets effectively. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. - Previous experience as a Building Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role. - Proficiency in building systems including HVAC, BMS, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Familiarity with maintenance management software and automation. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively. - Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. - Professional license or certification in building maintenance preferred.
