Role & Responsibilities: Lead the design team in creating ethnic, menswear, and western wear collections for Lashkaraa , a premium ethnic wear brand. Develop mood boards, sketches, and digital illustrations based on current fashion trends. Conduct trend research, fabric selection, and embroidery design . Oversee pattern making, draping, and garment construction to maintain high-quality standards. Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely execution of designs. Manage and mentor junior designers, tailors, and artisans . Work closely with marketing and sales teams for collection planning and brand alignment. Preferred Candidate Profile: 7+ years of experience in fashion designing (Ethnic, Menswear, or Western Wear). Strong knowledge of fabrics, embroidery, and garment construction . Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, CLO 3D . Experience in luxury, bridal, or festive wear is a plus. Strong leadership, creativity, and problem-solving skills . Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines . 1. Vendor Identification & Negotiation: Identify and onboard suppliers for fabric, trims, and printing techniques such as DTF, embroidery, and hand-painted methods. Negotiate favorable pricing, quality terms, and minimum order quantities (MOQs). Evaluate vendors based on quality, compliance, and sustainability. 2. Subcontractor Management: Find and manage subcontractors for apparel manufacturing (cutting, stitching, finishing). Ensure subcontractors meet quality and delivery expectations. Build partnerships with manufacturing units that align with our business model. 3. Trend & Material Research: Research new materials, technologies, and printing techniques to enhance product design. Visit textile hubs to source new-age and Sustainable materials. Develop sourcing strategies that align with fast fashion and sustainable apparel requirements. 4. Cost Optimization & Supplier Audits: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with ethical sourcing and production standards. 5. Collaboration with Design & Production Teams: Work closely with the product design and production teams to ensure raw materials and production techniques align with the brand’s creative direction. Ensure timely procurement and supply chain efficiency.
