Embroidery Designer of Accessories

Role Overview:

creative and detail-oriented Embroidery Designer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Concept Development

• Create innovative

  embroidery designs and surface ornamentation concepts

  for various accessories (bags, stoles, belts, footwear, etc.).
• Develop design boards, color palettes, and embroidery samples aligned with seasonal trends and brand identity.
  
• Collaborate with the design and merchandising teams to develop new collections and product ranges.
  

2. Sampling & Product Development

• Develop embroidery samples, swatches, and mockups for approvals.
  
• Coordinate with

  karigars / embroidery units

  to execute hand and machine embroidery techniques (Aari, Zardozi, Beadwork, Sequin, Appliqu, etc.).
• Ensure timely development of embroidery designs with accuracy in color, pattern, and material usage.
  

3. Technical & Execution Skills

• Prepare detailed

  embroidery specifications, artwork, and layout sheets

  for production.
• Use

  design software

  (e.g., Wilcom, CorelDRAW, Photoshop, or Illustrator) to digitize embroidery designs.
• Ensure quality standards and consistency across all embroidered pieces.
  

4. Market Research & Trend Analysis

• Stay updated on

  embroidery trends, color forecasts, textures, and accessory trends

  .
• Research new materials, threads, beads, and embellishment techniques suitable for accessories.
  

5. Collaboration & Coordination

• Work closely with the

  design, sourcing, and production teams

  to align designs with manufacturing capabilities.
• Provide guidance to sampling teams and artisans to achieve desired creative outcomes.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors / Diploma in

  Fashion Design / Textile Design / Embroidery & Surface Ornamentation

  from NIFT, NID, or equivalent institute.

• 3–8 years of experience

  in embroidery design, preferably in

  accessories, luxury fashion, or export houses

  .
• Strong understanding of

  hand and machine embroidery techniques

  .
• Proficiency in design software –

  CorelDRAW / Wilcom / Photoshop / Illustrator

  .
• Excellent color sense, creativity, and attention to detail.
