Embedded Systems Engineer

As an Embedded Software Developer in our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining software for microcontroller-based systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, implementing, and testing software components using C/C++. - Optimizing software for performance, power consumption, and memory usage. - Working closely with hardware teams to integrate software with hardware components. - Troubleshooting and debugging software and hardware issues. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience: - Strong programming skills in C/C++. - In-depth understanding of embedded systems concepts and architectures. - Experience working with multi-process and multi-threaded systems. - Familiarity with microcontroller architectures such as ARM, MSP, and Microchip. - Proficiency in communication interfaces like UART, SPI, and I2C. - Experience with system calls, performance optimization, debugging, and cross-compilation. - Strong hardware/firmware debugging skills using lab equipment. - Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Experience with configuration management tools like Git and SVN. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Experience with performance profiling tools would be advantageous. - Knowledge of functional safety standards is a plus. Preferred qualifications for this role include: - Experience with specific microcontrollers such as STM, Texas, NXP, and ARM. - Knowledge of C++ embedded systems concepts. - Graduation/diploma in electronics will be preferred. - B.Tech in Electronics & Communications.
