Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware for microcontroller and SoC-based systems, including networking/router and edge computing platforms.
  • Work on system architecture, hardware-software integration, and full product development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain Embedded C/C++ code following best coding standards.
  • Implement and optimize communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, MODBUS, CAN, RS232/RS485, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and TCP/IP stack.
  • Develop Python scripts for automation, testing, and system-level applications.
  • Debug hardware and firmware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Work with SoC platforms such as Raspberry Pi 3 B+, Raspberry Pi 5, Banana Pi, and NVIDIA Jetson / edge GPU platforms.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and QA teams to ensure reliable product delivery.
  • Prepare technical documentation including design documents, testing reports, and user manuals.
  • Provide support to production teams and assist in resolving field-related issues.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in embedded system development, preferably in networking/router or SoC-based products.
  • Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C++, Python programming.
  • Hands-on experience with bare-metal development and RTOS (FreeRTOS or similar).
  • Experience working with MediaTek chipsets for router or networking devices is highly preferred.
  • Experience with SoC platforms: Raspberry Pi 3 B+, Pi 5, Banana Pi, NVIDIA Jetson / edge GPU.
  • Python scripting experience for automation, testing, and application development.
  • Understanding of communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, MODBUS, RS232/RS485, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP.
  • Ability to read and understand hardware schematics and perform PCB-level debugging.
  • Strong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD interfaces.
  • Knowledge of embedded Linux is a plus.
  • Experience with low-level drivers, bootloader development, memory-mapped peripherals, and power management is desirable.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and basic CI/CD for embedded systems.
