About the Role

Embedded Software Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for networking products such as switches and routers.
Work on protocol stack development and integration across
Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3
.
Implement and troubleshoot networking protocols including
OSPF, BGP, MPLS, ISIS, and OFIB
.
Develop and maintain
management interfaces
such as
SNMP
or
NetConf
.
Optimize embedded software for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration, testing, and validation of networking solutions.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
6 - 15 years of experience in
embedded software development
for networking or telecom products.
Strong programming skills in
Embedded C/C++
.
Solid understanding of
networking fundamentals
and
protocol stack development
.
Experience with
real-time operating systems (RTOS)
or embedded Linux environments.
Knowledge of
SNMP
,
NetConf
, and
network management systems
.
Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with
wireless networking technologies
and
hardware-software integration
.
Familiarity with
network simulation tools
or
packet analyzers (Wireshark, tcpdump)
.
Exposure to
Agile/Scrum
development methodologies.
