Embedded Manual Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test cycles based on specifications.
• Execute manual tests across various Windows environments (Windows 10/11 32/64-bit and legacy OS versions).
• Conduct device-level testing for printer drivers to validate behaviour and performance.
• Ensure consistency of page size definitions and driver compatibility across device families.
• Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA, including retesting after fixes.
• Participate in test case reviews, and prepare and share detailed test summary reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for code reviews via pull requests on Bitbucket.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure transparency through tools like SharePoint.
• Create and manage user stories and subtasks in JIRA with time estimates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge in Manual Testing methodologies and defect lifecycle management.
• Experience with device testing, especially in the embedded systems domain.
• Familiarity with C/C++ in embedded contexts (for understanding and debugging).
• Expertise in testing across Windows operating systems (32-bit and 64-bit variants).
• Proficiency with tools such as:
• JIRA for task and defect tracking
• Bitbucket for version control and peer reviews
• SharePoint – for documentation and reporting
• Ability to write high-quality test documentation and execute test plans effectively.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):

• Experience testing printer drivers or similar hardware-integrated software.
• Understanding of .NET frameworks and system-level interactions.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with developers and QA peers.
• Ability to estimate effort and manage time effectively within agile workflows.

Work Environment:

• This is a work-from-office role.
• Candidates must be comfortable working in a hardware/software integrated environment with minimal supervision.
