Job Description

The position requires supporting the design, development, and transition to production of Electronics packaging solutions for various applications. As a member of the team, you will collaborate with multi-disciplined engineers to design, layout, and document electronic, electrical, and mechanical assemblies. Your responsibilities will include circuit design, PCB layout, material selection, part modelling, thermal/mechanical analysis, EMI-EMC analysis, and process optimization. You will also interact with sourcing, suppliers, engineering teams, and production operations to address electronics packaging issues effectively. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating new electronics packaging solutions while ensuring compliance with standards such as MIL-STD, UL, EN, CSA, CE, and EV (AIS-138) charging standards. Conducting detailed component-level analysis to identify stress factors, surveying advanced circuit topologies, and developing mixed-mode circuits for power electronics applications will be part of your role. Additionally, you will work on consolidating discrete components to hybrid ICs, integrating power modules, cooling, gate drives, discrete components, and sensors in one package, and generating BOM from conceptual designs. Your tasks will also involve planning, directing, and completing product/part testing and validation, benchmarking competitive solutions, understanding customer technical needs, resolving customer complaints, and addressing manufacturing, quality, and purchasing issues. Additionally, you will manage product line cost reduction initiatives and reliability improvement initiatives effectively. To qualify for this role, you should hold a B.E/ B. Tech in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of Stepper/ BLDC/ DC motors and controllers, design of SMPS based power supplies from 1-15kW, working knowledge of power devices such as SCR, GTO, MOSFET, and IGBT, power budget calculations for AC & DC power systems, circuit design, PCB layout, understanding CAD designs, design for manufacturability, EMI/EMC circuits, strong engineering documentation skills, and good problem-solving abilities are essential. Being highly motivated, a self-starter, confident, possessing excellent interpersonal skills, and having an analytical blend of mind will be advantageous for this role.,
