Electrician

Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrician to handle the installation, testing, and maintenance of decorative and architectural lighting systems at residential, commercial, and retail sites. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of electrical systems, experience with lighting fixtures (indoor and outdoor), and the ability to read wiring diagrams and installation layouts. Key Responsibilities:Installation & WiringInstall lighting fixtures (ceiling lights, chandeliers, wall lights, LED strips, etc.) as per layout and design plans. Perform electrical wiring, conduit laying, and connection of lighting systems to power supply. Mount fixtures securely and ensure alignment and aesthetics are maintained during installation. Handle false ceiling cutouts, electrical fittings, and switchboard connections when required. Testing & TroubleshootingConduct functional testing of lighting systems post-installation. Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical or connectivity issues at the site. Ensure all installations meet electrical safety standards. Site CoordinationCoordinate with interior designers, site engineers, and clients for smooth execution. Understand lighting layouts, load distribution plans, and BOQ (Bill of Quantity) provided by the design or technical team. Provide technical support during pre-installation site surveys. Maintenance & SupportPerform regular maintenance of installed lighting systems if part of an AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract). Attend service calls to repair or replace defective lights or components. Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring Familiarity with a wide range of lighting products and installation methods Ability to read electrical drawings and layouts Basic troubleshooting and fault-finding skills Attention to detail and commitment to safety Physical stamina to work on ladders, scaffolds, and at varying heights Qualifications:ITI or Diploma in Electrical (or equivalent) Minimum 2–5 years of experience in electrical and lighting installation Valid electrician license (preferred) Knowledge of local electrical safety regulations and codes Working Conditions:Work at various customer or project sites (residential, commercial, retail) May involve travel to multiple sites in a day/week Physically demanding tasks: lifting, drilling, climbing ladders Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if required Additional Requirements (Optional):Experience with smart lighting systems (e.g., dimmers, automation, app-controlled lights) Basic knowledge of home automation systems Own tools and mode of transport (preferred but not mandatory)
