Electrician

1. Installation Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and circuit layouts.
• Install and connect lighting systems, power outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Set up distribution boards, panels, and control systems.
• Mount and connect electrical equipment such as fans, motors, air conditioners, or appliances.

2. Maintenance & Repair

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safety and functionality.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and troubleshoot faults using test equipment and hand tools.
• Replace faulty wiring, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Ensure minimal downtime through timely repairs.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Follow national and local electrical codes (such as the Indian Electricity Rules or NEC).
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
• Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.
• Test electrical systems using voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes to verify proper operation.

4. Technical & Supervisory Tasks

• Plan electrical projects and estimate materials, labor, and cost.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, or clients to meet project requirements.
• Supervise junior electricians or apprentices when required.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs.

5. Tools & Equipment

• Skilled in using hand tools (pliers, cutters, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills, conduit benders).
• Familiar with testing instruments like multimeters, insulation testers, and earth testers.

6. Additional Responsibilities (if applicable)

• Installation and maintenance of solar power systems or generator backup systems.
• Conduct energy audits to improve electrical efficiency.
• Perform emergency repairs during power failures or breakdowns.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
