Electrician - Construction

The Electrician is responsible for executing all electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities at the construction site. The role ensures that electrical work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to approved drawings, standards, and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Installation

• Install conduits, wiring, switches, sockets, distribution boards, MCBs, and panels.
• Carry out wiring for lighting, power points, appliances, and equipment as per layout drawings.
• Install earthing systems and ensure proper grounding connections.
• Assist in temporary site electrification setup (site lights, power for equipment, DG connections).

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Identify and repair electrical faults in wiring, circuits, and devices.
• Maintain and service electrical tools and equipment.
• Conduct regular checks of temporary power supply and ensure uninterrupted electricity for site operations.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Strictly follow electrical safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Ensure all electrical installations conform to IS standards and site safety guidelines.
• Report any unsafe practices, damaged cables, or hazards immediately.

4. Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with civil teams to ensure proper electrical conduits and fittings during shuttering, masonry, and finishing works.
• Work with the electrical engineer to implement layouts and resolve technical issues.
• Support installation of equipment such as pumps, motors, lights, and site machinery.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain a record of material usage and report shortages.
• Provide updates on daily work progress.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI in Electrician Trade (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2–5 years experience on civil construction projects.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, load distribution, and safety practices.
• Ability to read electrical layout drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting ability.

Additional Requirements

• Must be comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolding, etc.).
• Ability to work long hours as per site requirements.
• Physically fit and alert during electrical operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
