Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Perform testing & commissioning of electrical systems including LT/HT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, lighting, power distribution, and earthing systems.

Prepare and execute testing procedures, checklists, and method statements as per project requirements.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and vendors during commissioning activities.

Ensure installations are as per approved drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications before commissioning.

Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and ensure punch points are closed.

Carry out functional tests, load tests, insulation resistance tests, earth resistance tests, and system integration checks.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, electrical codes, and safety standards.

Prepare and submit test reports, commissioning records, and as-built documentation.

Support final handover of electrical systems including O&M manuals and client training.

Identify defects during testing and coordinate corrective actions with execution teams.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of Electrical MEP systems

Proficiency in testing instruments (Megger, Earth Tester, Multimeter, Clamp Meter)

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Knowledge of IEC, IS standards, and local electrical regulations

Excellent documentation and reporting skills

Strong coordination and troubleshooting abilities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,046.00 - ₹30,326.00 per month
