Electrical tendaring & costing estimation

The Electrical Tendering & Costing Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for electrical works across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role includes studying project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals. The candidate should have strong knowledge of electrical systems, material specifications, estimation techniques, and vendor interactions. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional capable of independently managing tendering activities from enquiry stage to final submission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and pricing sheets for electrical projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from AutoCAD drawings for LV, MV, and ELV systems.
• Analyze project scope, identify material requirements, and prepare cost breakups.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations, price validation, and technical clarifications.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tender submissions.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate for competitive pricing.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and optimize project costs.
• Prepare compliance statements, deviation sheets, and tender clarifications.
• Support management in bid reviews, risk analysis, and strategy finalization.
• Maintain cost databases for materials, labour, and subcontracting.
• Work closely with the design/engineering team for technical inputs.
• Prepare project cash flow, rate analysis, and costing summaries.
• Ensure all tender submissions meet deadlines with complete documentation.
• Assist project teams during handover after tender award.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 6–10 years of experience in electrical tendering, estimation, and costing.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems: HT/LT panels, cabling, earthing, lighting, transformers, DG sets, ELV, etc.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced), and estimation software (if applicable).
• Knowledge of local codes, IS standards, and industry specifications.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
