Electrical Technician

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety & Documentation

• Prepare Isolation and De-Isolation (IDC) Certificates for Electrical Equipment up to 11KV.
• Prepare Permit to Work, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Risk Assessments.
• Follow all electrical safety standards, company procedures, and statutory requirements.

2. Operation & Maintenance

• Operate and maintain MV and LV Switchgear.
• Perform preventive maintenance of lead acid and nickel cadmium batteries, including discharge tests and replacements.
• Conduct UPS and battery charger preventive maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting.
• Perform HV and LV transformer preventive and predictive maintenance, including insulation resistance testing, winding resistance, contact resistance, loop checks, and protection circuit tests.
• Inspect energized transformers as per preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain HV and LV breakers (VCB, ACB, feeders) including insulation testing, cooling fan checks, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and replace MV and LV motor bearings.

3. Specialized Equipment Maintenance

• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).
• Perform heater inspection, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance—checking IR, resistance, grounding, and terminal tightness.
• Carry out lighting system installation, maintenance, and lamp replacements (HPSV, MV, and fluorescent).

4. Technical & Planning Skills

• Read and interpret contract plans, specifications, and one-line diagrams.
• Coordinate with vendors for transformer oil filling, filtering, and testing (BDV test).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and logs.

Requirements:

• Valid Electrical License for MV/LV systems (up to 11KV).
• Minimum [4] years of hands-on experience in electrical operation and maintenance (preferably industrial or manufacturing setup).
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, VFDs, UPS systems, and battery systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, PTW systems, and risk assessment procedures.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Education & Certification:

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid Government/State Electrical Supervisor or Wireman License.
• Additional safety certifications .

Work Conditions:

• Industrial plant environment.
• May require shift work and emergency call-out support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
