Position: Electrical Panel Design & Costing Engineer

Role Overview

The Electrical Panel Design & Costing Engineer will be responsible for designing LT/HT electrical panels, preparing technical drawings, and estimating costs for projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge of switchgear, panel fabrication, and costing practices, along with the ability to coordinate with sales and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design LT/HT electrical panels, MCC, PCC, APFC, and distribution boards as per client requirements
• Prepare single line diagrams (SLD), GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
• Select appropriate switchgear components (circuit breakers, relays, contactors, busbars, etc.)
• Estimate project costs including material, labor, and fabrication expenses
• Prepare technical proposals and costing sheets for tenders and client quotations
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors for component pricing
• Ensure compliance with IEC/IS standards and electrical safety norms
• Support production team during panel assembly and testing
• Interact with clients and sales team to clarify technical specifications
• Contribute to cost optimization and value engineering initiatives

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical panel design, switchgear, and protection systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / EPLAN / SolidWorks Electrical for panel drawings
• Hands‑on experience with cost estimation and BOM preparation
• Understanding of IEC/IS standards, electrical codes, and safety practices
• Knowledge of tendering, quotations, and vendor management
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Good communication and documentation ability

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
