Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: Tharamani - Chennai Client Name : Blue star Ltd Experience Level: 1 to 5 Yrs Department: Facilities & Maintenance Reports To: Facilities Manager / Maintenance Head Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to oversee and perform maintenance of electrical systems within commercial or residential buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building facility management, be capable of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical infrastructure, and ensure compliance with safety and energy efficiency standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, panels, circuits, and equipment within the building. Monitor and manage power distribution systems, Transformers, HT & LT Panels, backup DG generators, UPS systems, lighting, and HVAC electrical connections. Maintain and update documentation including wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and maintenance logs. Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to ensure functionality and safety. Participate in energy efficiency audits and implement electrical improvements where feasible. Support overall facility operations including emergency repairs and system upgrades. Maintain inventory of electrical components and tools. Qualifications & Skills: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in facility/building management. Strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics. Hands-on experience with building services: lighting systems, elevators, BMS (Building Management Systems), HVAC wiring, etc. Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies. Good communication and reporting skills. Working Conditions: Site-based role in commercial, industrial, or residential buildings. May require on-call availability for urgent maintenance.
