Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components for [mention specific applications/industries]. Responsibilities:

• Design & Development:

• Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panels using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical).
• Select appropriate electrical components, including circuit breakers, relays, sensors, and PLCs, based on project requirements.
• Design and implement power distribution systems, control systems, and automation systems.
• Develop and maintain electrical design documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Perform calculations for voltage drop, current ratings, and power consumption.
• Design and implement grounding and bonding systems.

• Testing & Validation:

• Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare test reports and documentation.
• Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).

• Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, software, etc.) to ensure integrated system design.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers.
• Provide technical support to production and service teams.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback.
• Maintain organized project documentation.

• Standards & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL).
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering technology and industry best practices.
• Perform risk assessments related to electrical designs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical).
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with PLC programming and control systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of power distribution systems.
• Experience with testing and validation of electrical systems.
