looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer who can independently handle solar project costings, BOQs, and scheme-related documentation, and support management in techno-commercial planning for rooftop, ground-mounted, KUSUM, and government projects.
The role requires practical EPC exposure, not just design theory.
Prepare detailed project cost estimates for:
Rooftop solar
Ground-mounted solar
KUSUM / feeder / agriculture projects
Prepare BOQs for:
Modules, inverters, structures
AC & DC electricals (cables, JB, ACDB, DCDB)
Earthing, LA, SCADA (basic level)
Civil & misc items (trenches, foundations coordination level)
Vendor rate analysis & cost comparison
Margin calculation & cost optimization support
Working knowledge of:
MNRE schemes
KUSUM (A, B, C)
State DISCOM solar policies
Net-metering / gross-metering basics
Support documentation for:
Subsidy-linked projects
DISCOM approvals
Tender compliance related to schemes
Coordinate with consultants / DISCOM offices when required
Assist in:
Tender costing & pre-bid estimates
DPR preparation support
Bank / financier technical inputs (capacity, generation, losses)
Support management during:
Client negotiations
Tender clarifications (technical & costing)
Clarify BOQs to site engineers & purchase team
Support material planning to avoid excess / shortage
Cross-check site material vs BOQ during execution
Required Skills & Knowledge
Technical
Solar system design basics (DC/AC sizing)
Electrical SLD understanding
Familiarity with:
LT panels, ACDB, DCDB
Earthing & lightning protection
Understanding of losses & generation estimation
Commercial
Strong costing logic
Rate analysis & vendor comparison
Practical EPC margin understanding
Software
MS Excel (mandatory costing sheets)
AutoCAD (basic to intermediate BOQ understanding)
PVsyst (basic knowledge preferred)
