Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support

    electrical design activities

    for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), including

    functional partitioning

    ,

    schematic capture

    , and

    PCB layout

    assistance.
  • Conduct thorough

    electrical design verification

    encompassing

    logic compatibility checks

    ,

    AC/DC loading

    ,

    margin analysis

    ,

    timing verification

    ,

    thermal analysis

    at the component level, and

    power consumption assessment

    .
  • Participate actively in

    prototype assembly

    ,

    board bring-up

    , and

    validation of designs

    against established specifications.
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise for

    ESD, EMI, and ENV issues

    ; develop and implement effective

    countermeasures

    .
  • Collaborate closely with

    cross-functional engineering teams

    across multiple locations including Irvine, Osaka, and offshore sites.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed

    electrical design documentation

    , such as

    test plans

    and

    technical reports

    .
  • Serve as a

    liaison between offshore teams and on-site engineering personnel

    to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
  • Support

    urgent issue resolution

    under

    high-pressure conditions

    , ensuring timely delivery and problem mitigation.
  • Coordinate with various teams to guarantee completion of

    design, validation, and verification tasks

    on schedule.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in

    Electrical or Electronic Engineering

    , or an equivalent qualification.
  • 8 to 10 years

    of experience in

    electronic hardware design

    , ideally within

    avionics

    or other

    high-reliability sectors

    .
  • Proficiency in

    schematic design software

    such as

    Altium Designer

    and

    Cadence OrCAD

    .
  • Strong knowledge of both

    high- and low-voltage circuits

    ,

    power electronics

    , and expertise in

    component selection

    .
  • Familiarity with

    compliance testing

    related to

    ESD, EMI, and environmental standards

    .
  • Proven ability to

    troubleshoot

    at both

    component and system levels

    .

Tools & Methods Experience:

  • Schematic and PCB Layout Tools:

    Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, Mentor Graphics Xpedition, and PADS.

  • Diagramming:

    Microsoft Visio and

    AutoCAD

    Electrical

    for wiring and block diagrams.
  • Data Analysis:

    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for

    bill of materials (BOMs)

    , calculations, and

    margin analysis

    .
  • Documentation and Collaboration Platforms:

    DOORS, Polarion, Jama, Confluence, SharePoint, and Jira.
