Job Responsibilities:

Legal Compliance:

• Stay updated on local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations relevant to the manufacturing sector.
• Ensure the company's adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, e.g Factories and Boliers Act, Environmental Protection Act and other legal requirements
• Conduct regular audits to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.

Safety Programs:

• Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and policies to minimize workplace hazards and prevent accidents.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential issues and recommend corrective measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a safety culture within the organization.

Environmental Management:

• Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management, air quality, and water pollution prevention.
• Implement strategies to reduce the company's environmental impact and promote sustainability practices.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure environmental permits are obtained and maintained.

Training and Education:

• Conduct training sessions on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental awareness.
• Provide ongoing education to employees regarding health and safety best practices.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure new employees receive comprehensive EHS orientation.

Incident Investigation:

• Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Analyse root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of all incidents and investigations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in environmental health and safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• If Bachelors in Other than EHS domain than Post bachelor Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety is must
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role within the manufacturing sector.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
