Job Description

This position under Operations Team to drive environmental, health and safety compliances across the Dhaksha Facility (Manufacturing and R & D) Role & responsibilities Develop programs and procedures designed to reduce occupational and non-occupational accident/injury/illness experiences. Promotes proactive health and safety awareness throughout the organization though effective employee communications, participation, and programs. Leading the incident investigations including root cause analysis, corrective actions and preventive actions till its implementation. Ensures plant management teams understand the inter-relationship between induction and on the job safety trainings and strengthening the process. Ensures environmental compliance understood and accepted as a high priority by the CFT. Work on ergonomic concepts, assess the need for workplace ergonomics and ensure an effective and participatory ergonomic culture is developed, maintained, and practiced. Identifies, evaluates, manages, and minimizes potential environmental risks of the plant. Develops and conducts training programs on industrial safety, industrial hygiene, emergency response / planning, government regulations, hazardous materials, and other related issues as appropriate to reduce the incidents. Monitoring the operations of Effluent Sewage Treatment plants as well as Fire Protection Systems. Liaise with factory inspectorate and carries out statutory tests for legal compliance. Conducts Safety Committee Meetings at defined periodicity and ensure action points are completed within the stipulated time. Conducts safety audits at work places to identify unsafe conditions and unsafe practices and near miss. Ensures compliance of all processes meets ISO 14001 and ISO 45001standards. Coordinate with Teams in Safety inspections, ergonomic risk assessments, job hazard analysis, Environmental Management systems which will permit a high degree of employee involvement. Preferred candidate profile B.E Mechanical and Post Diploma/ masters in industrial safety management. Relevant experience 2-4 Years in EHS, Effective Communication Presentation, Troubleshooting Problem Solving, Strong Analytical, Report Writing, Management System Documentation, Liaison with statutory agencies.
