Job Title: Education Counselor (Design Industry)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Education Counselor to join our team at The Design Village (TDV). The ideal candidate will have a passion for guiding students in their educational journey, offering expert advice, and helping them make informed decisions about their academic and career goals. The Education Counselor will assist students in selecting courses, understanding educational opportunities, and providing support through the application and admission process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise prospective students on available educational programs, career pathways, and course selection at TDV.
• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to understand student needs, academic background, and future aspirations.
• Assist students with the application process for various educational programs and institutions.
• Guide students in preparing application materials, including personal statements, recommendation letters, and resumes.
• Organize and host informational sessions, workshops, and events to help students make informed educational decisions.
• Stay updated on current educational trends, scholarships, and study programs relevant to design and creative fields.
• Provide emotional support to students navigating difficult academic or personal challenges.
• Maintain student records, tracking progress, and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external organizations to provide a holistic support system to students.
• Ensure students meet deadlines for applications, tests, and other necessary paperwork.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of educational programs, institutions, and career paths, particularly in design and creative disciplines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with students and provide individualized guidance.

Experience:

• Previous experience in design counseling, education, or student services, preferably in a creative or design-related institution.
• Experience in educational consultancy or admissions support is a plus.

Pay scale: 20,000-25,000 per month
