EDI Executive ( Air Fright )

We are seeking two detail-oriented and experienced EDI Executives to join our Air Freight customs team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for managing all aspects of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for customs clearance of air freight shipments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth, timely, and compliant processing of customs documentation by liaising effectively with customs officials, airlines, and shipping lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file all necessary customs documentation electronically, including Bills of Entry, Shipping Bills, and other related documents for air freight.
• Coordinate with airlines, transporters, and clients to ensure all required information is accurate and submitted on time.
• Liaise with customs authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and to resolve any queries or issues that may arise during the clearance process.
• Track and monitor the status of shipments, providing regular updates to internal teams and clients.
• Maintain and nurture strong professional relationships with key contacts at various shipping lines and airlines to facilitate seamless operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any EDI transmission errors or customs-related discrepancies promptly.
• Stay updated with changes in customs laws, tariffs, and regulations pertaining to air freight.

Required Qualifications & Skills ✅

• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a similar EDI or customs documentation role.
• Industry Background: Candidates must be from the Freight Forwarding or Shipping Industry. Applications from other industries will not be considered.
• Industry Knowledge: Must be well-versed with shipping and air freight forwarding processes, terminology, and documentation (e.g., AWB, IGM, EGM).
• Relationships: Proven track record of having a good rapport and strong working relationships with shipping lines and airlines.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using customs EDI software (e.g., ICEGATE) and MS Office.
• Attributes: High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Salary

• Up to ₹35,000 per month, commensurate with experience and skills.
