Job Description

The Echo Technician will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic studies, assisting cardiologists in diagnosis, and maintaining patient records. This role demands a high level of technical knowledge, attention to detail, and compassion toward patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms as required.
Operate and maintain ultrasound and echo equipment.
Accurately capture and record images for cardiologist interpretation.
Explain procedures to patients and provide emotional support during the exam.
Ensure safety protocols and infection control standards are followed.
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
Work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff.

Qualifications:

Education: Diploma or degree in cardiovascular technology or a related field.
Certification: Registered or certified as an Echo Technician (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum of [X] years in echocardiography preferred.
Skills:
Proficient in the use of echo equipment and PACS systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
