Echo technician

The Echo Technician will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic studies, assisting cardiologists in diagnosis, and maintaining patient records. This role demands a high level of technical knowledge, attention to detail, and compassion toward patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms as required.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound and echo equipment.
• Accurately capture and record images for cardiologist interpretation.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide emotional support during the exam.
• Ensure safety protocols and infection control standards are followed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or degree in cardiovascular technology or a related field.
• Certification: Registered or certified as an Echo Technician (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent).
• Experience: Minimum of [X] years in echocardiography preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficient in the use of echo equipment and PACS systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
