Echo technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 2D, M-Mode, Colour Doppler, and Stress Echocardiography as prescribed by the cardiologist.
• Prepare patients for echocardiography procedures and explain the process clearly.
• Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
• Capture accurate images and measurements for diagnostic evaluation.
• Assist cardiologists during specialized cardiac procedures when required.
• Maintain patient records, reports, and documentation accurately.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormalities or concerns immediately.
• Perform routine quality checks and minor troubleshooting of ECHO equipment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Cardiac Technology, Echocardiography, or Allied Health Sciences.
• Certification in Echocardiography preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic center.
• Experience in handling ECHO machines and cardiac diagnostic tools.
