E and S Risk Specialist

Role Overview: As an E&S Risk Assessment Manager, your primary responsibility will be to conduct E&S risk assessments for eligible transactions following the approved process of the Bank. You will also be tasked with managing E&S risk assessments, including assigning risk categorization, recommending E&S covenants, conducting Detailed Environment and Social Due-Diligence (E&S DD) assessments, and implementing Environmental and Social Action Plans (ESAP) within agreed timelines. Additionally, you will engage in periodic discussions with vendors, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders on ESG compliances and communicate relevant information on ESG aspects. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct E&S risk assessments for eligible transactions in line with the Bank's approved process - Manage E&S risk assessments, including assigning risk categorization, recommending E&S covenants, conducting Detailed E&S DD assessments, and implementing ESAP with agreed timelines - Engage in periodic discussions with vendors, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders on ESG compliances - Communicate relevant information on ESG aspects with internal and external stakeholders - Present key observations to Senior Management on a periodic basis - Actively participate in process re-engineering related to product/process - Collaborate with business, OSD & Policy team for any process/policy changes - Identify gaps in the process and highlight them to Senior Management - Provide suggestions for changes in policy Qualification Required: - Masters in Environment/Social Science, Sustainability or a similar discipline - IRCA certified ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 lead/internal auditor - Good command over written and spoken English with basic soft skills - Minimum of 2 to 4 years of work experience in Consulting - Experience in conducting E&SDD, ESIA, EHS Legal Compliance Audits, Social Impact Assessments, EIA, etc. - Good understanding of E&S compliance requirements, IFC PS framework, World Bank EHS Guidelines, and implementation across various industry sectors,
