This leadership role combines the strategic oversight of the Business Intelligence Unit with technical depth in software engineering. The role will drive data-driven decisions and innovation by leading analytics, AI, and engineering functions, while ensuring robust data platforms, scalable applications, and agile product delivery across departments. will be responsible for driving data-driven decision-making by developing and managing business intelligence strategies, analytics, and reporting frameworks. This role will ensure effective data utilization to enhance business performance, improve customer insights, and support strategic initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and business requirements.

• Business Intelligence & Analytics
• Define and implement BI and AI strategy for actionable business insights
• Lead analytics, visualization, and reporting frameworks for functional teams (sales, claims, underwriting, operations)
• Champion predictive and prescriptive analytics using ML and GenAI
• Guide business performance reviews via dashboards, KPIs, and deep-dive analyses
• Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business needs into data-backed solutions
• Maintain high data quality, governance, and regulatory compliance
• Software Engineering & Technology Leadership
• Oversee design, development, and deployment of scalable BI and data apps
• Lead end-to-end data platform engineering, including cloud-native services and APIs
• Spearhead automation and digitization of reporting and analytics ecosystems
• Collaborate with product and IT teams to build reusable data services and APIs
• Ensure modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile delivery of BI tools
• Evaluate and integrate open-source and enterprise tools to strengthen BI stack
• Team & Stakeholder Management
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of BI engineers, analysts, and data scientists
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence, agility, and innovation
• Build cross-functional partnerships with senior business and technology leadership

C.

Education: Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field

Experience:

• 12+ years in BI, data engineering, or software development—preferably in insurance/financial services
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional analytics or engineering teams
• Demonstrated experience with full software development lifecycle in an agile environment

Certifications Preferred:

• Power BI, Tableau, AWS/Azure Data Engineering, Python, ML, DevOps, or related credentials

BI & Analytics:

• Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, statistical modeling, GenAI, ML libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Expertise in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and data visualization.
• Strong command of SQL, Python, R, statistical modelling and GenAI techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of AI, machine learning, predictive analytics and GenAI
• Proficiency in data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud-based analytics solutions.
