Duty Medical Officer(DMO)

Adheres to the departmental policies and procedures, Dress Code, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Handles both outpatient and inpatient treatments on emergencies.

History taking and examination of patient in inpatient department.

To complete initial assessment with in 30min after patient arrive in the ward, complete documentation compliance, consent compliance,

Discharge Summary compliance, Counselling Record, Coordination with Consultant, Implementation of Orders, Follow Drug Charts, Regular Ward Rounds, Updation to Consultants and all concerned.

Take ward rounds daily, and in every shift before consultant rounds.

Attend rounds with the respective consultants and carry out the necessary changes in the order. Enter them in the treatment sheet/HIS. Inform the nursing staff on duty about the same.

To follow up with all the investigations to be seen and trace their results. Inform the Registrar/Consultant.

Attend to patient related clinical issues and accordingly manage clinical problems

Obtain informed consent from patients and attenders for before minor procedures

Implement clinical management plan for the patient as decided by the seniors and team.

Raise diagnostic and procedural requisitions as per plan of care and ensure timely completion of the same.

To ensure all the medication orders are appropriately and timely entered in the case sheet /medication chart.

Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
