Duty Medical Officer

Job Title: Duty Medical Officer (DMO)

Reporting to: Duty Medical Officer -Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
• Perform initial assessments, monitor ongoing treatments, and provide follow-up care for fertility patients.
• Assist in managing patients undergoing IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization), IUI (Intrauterine Insemination), ovulation induction, and other fertility treatments.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report complications or deviations promptly.
• Clinical Support:
• Assist in procedures like ultrasound scans, egg retrievals, embryo transfers, and semen analysis as required.
• Provide emergency care to patients experiencing acute complications during fertility treatment cycles.
• Coordinate with the laboratory and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records for all patients, ensuring compliance with hospital and legal requirements.
• Monitor patient schedules, ensure adherence to treatment protocols, and manage emergencies effectively.
• Prepare and update patient treatment plans in coordination with senior medical staff.
• Counseling & Communication:
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
• Address patient concerns empathetically and professionally, providing clear explanations about procedures and care plans.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical protocols, and quality standards specific to fertility care.
• Participate in audits, staff meetings, and continuous medical education programs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: B.sc Physician Assistant ,BHMS.
• Experience:
• Minimum 1-3 years of clinical experience (experience in a fertility or gynecology setting preferred).
• Experience in managing fertility-related emergencies is an advantage.
• Skills:
• Strong clinical acumen and familiarity with fertility procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle emergencies and work effectively under pressure.
• Team player with a patient-centered approach.

Working Hours:

• Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as per hospital requirements.

Additional Preferences:

• Certification or training in reproductive health or gynecology is desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
