Job Title: Accountant Department: Finance & Accounts Location: A4 Hospitals & Fertility Centre ,Vellore Reporting to: Finance Manager / Hospital Administrator Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and oversee daily accounting operations in our fertility hospital. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial recordkeeping, compliance with statutory regulations, and smooth coordination with other departments regarding billing, payroll, and vendor payments. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update general ledger and financial statements. Manage hospital billing including IP (In-Patient), OP (Out-Patient), pharmacy, and lab services. Monitor collections and outstanding payments ; ensure timely reconciliation. Handle accounts payable and receivable , vendor management, and staff reimbursements. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports . Maintain petty cash accounts and daily cash flow tracking. Coordinate with internal auditors, tax consultants, and statutory auditors during audits. Ensure GST, TDS, PF, and ESI compliance and timely filing. Maintain confidentiality of financial data and sensitive information. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent). Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience , preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment . Knowledge of hospital billing systems and accounting software ( Tally , ERP, etc.). Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance . Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Key Skills: Accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and numerical skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Integrity and professional ethics Cash Handling Preferred: Experience in a Fertility or Multi-specialty Hospital setting will be an added advantage.
