Job Title : DRIVES ELECTRONICS ENGINEER Reporting To: Manager I, Engineer Work Schedule: Onsite - Bangalore, IN Job Description -Moog India DRIVES ELECTRONICS ENGINEER Date: 22nd Oct 2024 Written by: Engineering Manager - CPR Motor Moog India Reports to: Engineering Manager - CPR Motor Moog India Group / Business Unit: EMS Department: Engineering - CPR Motors We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The Electronics Engineer position requires expertise in Servo drive Design and production. The incumbent is expected to collaborate with the design team and production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic hardware selection and sizing and possess excellent manufacturing skill for electronic products. He is expected to solve the technical problems related to the drive production and testing. He facilitates project success with cost effective design solutions, technical know-how and project management proficiencies. Main responsibilities: Design, develop and test electronic hardware for drive systems, including power electronics, motor controls and motion control system. Develop and validate hardware designs using simulation tools and prototyping. Provide technical support for drive-related issues during the manufacturing, testing, and operational phases. Organize obsolescence management of parts which are in production. Create comprehensive documentation for drive system designs, including specifications, schematics, and manuals. Troubleshoot hardware issues and perform root cause analysis. Maintain accurate records of hardware and software configurations for future reference. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor of Engineering in the field of Electrical / Electronic Engineering Experience with production and testing of drives, such as variable frequency drives (VFDs) and servo drives or similar products. Experience with drive controllers and related software tools. Proven experience in hardware selection, design, manufacturing, and test of drive systems. Proficient in PCB design tools (eg. Cadence, Altium) Strong programming skills, with proficiency in LabVIEW, Python. Experience with simulation tools (eg. MATLAb, SPICE) Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to drive systems (UL, CE, IEC etc) is added advantages. Knowledge of control algorithms and system integration is added advantages. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills Work experience. 5+ years of progressive work experience in electronic hardware, drives technologies and drive productions. Proven capabilities in these key behavioral competencies: Building trust; adaptability; decision making; initiating action; innovation; building strategic working relations across functions; customer focus; gaining commitment Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, as this role requires constant communication and collaboration with other departments Moog cultural fit - i.e., operating in an informal, consensus-driven, ambiguous environment Other skills, experiences or highly desirable qualifications Well-organized and focused, with solid analytical and problem-solving ability and the ability to effectively present data and own ideas to others in the organization.
