Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled

Design Engineer proficient inCATIA V5/V6 for creating2D manufacturing drawings from 3D CAD models. The candidate will be responsible for generating detailed engineering drawings compliant with industry standards and incorporatingGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed2D drawings from3D CAD models usingCATIA V5/V6 in accordance with company and industry standards.Apply and interpretGD&T (ASME Y14.5 or ISO 1101) to ensure accurate and functional design intent.Ensure drawings meet allmanufacturing, assembly, and inspection requirements.Perform3D to 2D extraction , dimensioning, and annotation of mechanical components and assemblies.Work closely with Team Leade to maintain the quality of dwg file.Maintain properdrawing version control and documentation per PLM standards (e.g., ENOVIA, Teamcenter, or Windchill).Review and validate existing drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GD&T and design intent.Supportdesign reviews and provide input for drawing improvements and standardization. QualificationsDiploma or Bachelordegree inMechanical / Aerospace / Automotive Engineering or related field.13 years of experience inCATIA V5/V6 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation.Strong understanding ofGD&T principles (ASME Y14.5 or ISO 1101) .Experience in3D-to-2D conversion ,section views ,tolerancing , andBOM generation .Knowledge ofmanufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, casting, etc.) preferred.Familiarity withPLM/PDM systems (ENOVIA, Teamcenter, etc.).Good communication and teamwork skills.Attention to detail and commitment to design accuracy and quality. Essential skillsExperience inaerospace or automotive component design .Knowledge ofdrawing release processes andengineering change management .Certification or formal training inGD&T orCATIA V5 Drafting . Desired skills- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to conduct business in English- Proactive, self-motivated individual with ability to prioritize multiple tasks, giving high quality output- Conversant with Microsoft Office tools Word; Excel; PPT - Team player and enthusiastic learner Experience- Minimum 1-3 yearsexperience after graduation, in the Engineering
