Job Title: Draughtsman – 2D & 3D (SolidWorks)

Reports To: Design Engineer / Design Head

Job Purpose:

To create accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, models, and layouts using SolidWorks software as per design specifications and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks based on design inputs.
• Develop assembly drawings, component drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Modify and update existing designs and drawings as per project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings meet company and industry standards with proper tolerances and dimensions.
• Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of components.
• Maintain drawing records, revision history, and documentation control.
• Support prototype development and design validation activities.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during fabrication or assembly.

Qualification:

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Production, or Tool & Die Engineering.

Experience:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical drafting and design.
• Freshers with strong SolidWorks skills may also be considered.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (2D & 3D modeling, assemblies, detailing).
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and machining symbols.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, sheet metal, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new design requirements.

CTC / Salary: 20k to 30 in hand
