Drafting Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing detailed engineering drawings and a strong understanding of fabrication processes, particularly related to ASME Section VIII standards. As a Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating accurate drawings, preparing Bills of Materials (BOM), and utilizing AutoCAD to bring designs to life. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed engineering drawings and designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications and ASME Section VIII standards. Utilize AutoCAD commands and features to create, modify, and optimize technical drawings. Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for fabrication and procurement purposes. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure the feasibility and manufacturability of designs. Review and verify the quality of drawings and documents, ensuring all necessary details are captured. Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and practices. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Draftsman or in a similar role with a focus on detailed drawings. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD commands and software. Knowledge of fabrication processes and materials. Familiarity with ASME Section VIII codes and standards. Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in the [specific industry, e.g., pressure vessels, piping, structural design, etc.]. Ability to work with 3D modeling software is a plus.
