Description
As a Documentation Engineer specializing in Industrial Filling & Packaging Machinery, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining technical documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards. Your role will involve creating a variety of documents such as operation manuals, installation guides, maintenance manuals, SOPs, training materials, and service instructions for filling and packaging machinery. Collaboration with various teams including design, production, R&D, service, and quality is essential to gather technical data and ensure accuracy in documentation. Standardizing documentation templates, formats, and terminologies in accordance with industry compliance requirements like ISO, CE, and FDA will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will create illustrations, diagrams, flow charts, and annotations using CAD tools or illustration software. Managing document control systems, versioning, archival, and retrieval processes in alignment with the company's Quality Management System (QMS) is crucial. You will also review and update existing documents based on product modifications, engineering changes, and customer feedback. Supporting the preparation of validation documents, checklists, and compliance dossiers when needed will be part of your duties. Ensuring that technical content is accurate, consistent, and easily understandable for various stakeholders such as operators, service engineers, and customers is essential. Coordinating translation requirements to ensure global accessibility of technical manuals will also be within your scope of work. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in documentation engineering specific to filling and packaging machinery is required. You should have a strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and automation systems used in packaging machinery. Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar tools is necessary, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with GMP, CE marking, PED, and safety standards applicable to packaging machinery is preferred. Excellent technical writing and editing skills, project management abilities, and collaboration skills are essential to excel in this role. Experience with pharmaceutical, food, or beverage machinery documentation, knowledge of document management systems, exposure to 3D authoring tools, and multilingual documentation skills are considered advantageous. This is a full-time position located on-site, with occasional travel requirements for installation documentation, audits, or customer support.
