DM/MGR -Fuel/CNG Storage and Filling Area

As a Design and Development Engineer in the automotive industry, your role will involve working on the Design & Development of Fuel Tank (metal and plastic), Roll over valve, Fuel Hoses, Filler Neck, CNG filling and storage system components like Filler Neck, Fuel Joints, Filler Cap. You will also be responsible for Parts & Vehicle level testing to ensure quality and compliance with regulations. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing Fuel Tank and Filling system parts according to program schedules, conducting Parts & Vehicle level testing, monitoring costs and weights at Part & Sub-System level, and resolving quality issues through countermeasure planning and coordination with business partners. To excel in this role, you should have experience in Design or Development related to Fuel Tank Storage, Fuel Filling Area, or Alternate liquid and gaseous fuel systems. Understanding of Manufacturing processes, Costing Functions, and hands-on experience in testing and benchmarking at part & vehicle level will be crucial. Problem-solving skills using engineering tools like DFMEA and Root Cause analysis are essential. In terms of behavioral traits, a positive attitude, proactive nature, effective team player, good communication, analytical, and presentation skills are required. You should have a learning attitude, be a quick learner, and stay updated with industry trends to apply them in your work. Specific expertise needed includes hands-on experience in CAD Modeling software for 2D and 3D preparation, preferably Unigraphics (UG-Nx), and proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Your role will involve working on advanced engineering projects, Localization, VAVE, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in automotive design and development.,
