We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispatch Manager with a strong background in drayage operations and customs clearance to oversee and optimize the timely and efficient movement of goods from our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in transportation logistics, shipping coordination, and customs documentation, ensuring seamless operations for both domestic and international shipments.

As a Dispatch Manager, you will be responsible for leading the dispatch team, managing complex delivery schedules, coordinating with freight companies, and ensuring strict compliance with all customs regulations. The role requires a detail-oriented and strategic individual with a deep knowledge of drayage operations and advanced customs clearance procedures.

• Key Responsibilities:

1. Drayage and Dispatch Operations:

Lead and manage all dispatch processes to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers and warehouses.

Work closely with drayage companies, transporters, and logistics providers to ensure smooth and cost-effective delivery operations.

Oversee day-to-day logistics functions, including shipment scheduling, shipping document management, and ensuring customer orders are completed on time.

Provide strategic guidance to optimize dispatch operations and drive continuous improvement in efficiency.

2. Customs Clearance & Documentation:

Ensure compliance with all international shipment regulations, including the preparation of accurate customs documentation.

Work closely with customs brokers, authorities, and vendors to clear shipments efficiently and resolve any issues related to customs compliance.

Supervise the preparation and review of customs declarations, tariffs, taxes, and all other necessary paperwork for international shipments.

Lead efforts in ensuring that all shipments are fully compliant with import/export regulations and that all documentation is accurate and timely.

3. Team Leadership and Coordination:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of dispatchers, coordinators, and drivers, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Design and implement training programs on best practices for dispatch operations, customs clearance procedures, safety protocols, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Foster strong relationships with carriers, internal departments, customers, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and timely problem resolution.

4. Inventory and Stock Management:

Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure dispatch schedules align with available stock, production timelines, and customer demands.

Monitor inventory levels to ensure that adequate materials are available for upcoming shipments, minimizing delays in the supply chain.

Provide recommendations for stock management practices to streamline dispatch operations and reduce costs.

5. Shipping and Delivery Optimization:

Drive strategic initiatives to optimize delivery schedules, reduce transportation costs, and improve service levels.

Analyze shipping data and performance metrics to identify inefficiencies, assess delivery timelines, and recommend corrective actions.

Lead efforts to address and resolve delays or disruptions in delivery schedules, focusing on continuous improvement and long-term operational efficiency.

6. Compliance & Safety:

Ensure adherence to safety standards, industry regulations, and environmental practices across all dispatch operations.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing transportation regulations, import/export laws, and global trends to ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Ensure that all vehicles, equipment, and facilities are regularly inspected, well-maintained, and meet all safety standards.

7. Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering dispatch operations, customs clearance, shipping costs, and delivery performance.

Provide senior management with strategic updates and recommendations for improving shipping efficiency, cost management, and compliance.

Ensure that all reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with company goals and KPIs.

• Qualifications & Experience:

• Education

  :

Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.

Advanced certifications in Customs Management (e.g., Customs House Agent License) or Logistics/Supply Chain Management are highly preferred.

• Experience

  :

Minimum 10 years of experience in dispatch management, with a proven focus on drayage operations and customs clearance.

Extensive experience handling international shipments, including navigating complex customs clearance procedures and managing required documentation.

Expertise in shipping regulations, tariffs, duties, and import/export processes, with a solid understanding of international logistics.
