Key Responsibilities:- Dishwashing & Sanitizing: Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, handwash delicate items, and thoroughly clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans. Kitchen Maintenance: Keep the dish area organized, maintain clean and dry floors, wipe down surfaces, and ensure kitchen equipment and workstations are spotless. Waste Management: Monitor and empty trash and recycling bins, and clean garbage cans to ensure proper disposal of waste. Food Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring proper sanitation and reporting any issues with cleanliness or equipment to a supervisor. Storage: Sort, stack, and properly store clean dishes, utensils, and cookware in their designated locations. Assisting Kitchen Staff: May be asked to assist with basic food preparation, stocking shelves, or other tasks to help the kitchen run smoothly. Skills and Qualities:- Attention to Detail: Ability to thoroughly clean and sanitize items to meet high hygiene standards. Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for long periods and lift and move items. Communication Skills: Essential for reporting problems or requesting assistance from other staff members. Teamwork: Willingness to work cooperatively with other kitchen personnel. Hygiene Knowledge: A keen understanding of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
