Discipline Head - Civil

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership

  : Drive innovative design solutions, technical standards, and process improvements for complex civil/structural projects.

• Design & Analysis

  : Oversee design of industrial structures (pipe racks, buildings, equipment supports), foundations (pile, raft), pavements, drainage, and site layouts.

• Project Management

  : Manage resources, budgets, deadlines, review technical bids, and provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC).

• Client & Stakeholder Management

  : Liaise with clients, manage expectations, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines (MEP, Process) and vendors.

• Code Compliance & Software

  : Ensure adherence to national/international codes (IS, AISC, Eurocodes) and proficient use of structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000).

• Documentation

  : Prepare specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and progress reports.

• Innovation

  : Implement new technologies and value engineering principles to add value for clients.

Core Competencies

• Strong leadership, results orientation, and collaboration.
• Expertise in structural design for heavy industries like Power, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Petrochemicals.
• In-depth knowledge of civil/structural engineering principles and relevant codes.

Experience & Qualifications (Typical)

• Bachelor's/Master's in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in industrial/heavy structural design.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale projects.
