Director - Valuation

As a highly motivated and experienced Senior Valuation Professional, you will be joining a dynamic Valuation & Advisory team in Mumbai. Your role will involve leading and executing complex business and asset valuations for various purposes. You will be responsible for developing financial models, overseeing valuation engagements, reviewing financial models prepared by analysts, preparing detailed valuation reports, and acting as a key point of contact for clients. Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members, collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, stay updated on industry trends and standards, and support business development activities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead and execute complex business and asset valuations for various purposes. - Develop financial models using different valuation methodologies. - Oversee valuation engagements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs. - Review and validate financial models prepared by analysts. - Prepare and present detailed valuation reports and presentations. - Maintain and develop strong client relationships. - Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members. - Collaborate with audit, tax, M&A, and legal teams as required. - Stay current on industry trends, accounting, and valuation standards. - Support business development activities such as proposal development and client meetings. **Key Requirements:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. - Professional qualifications such as CFA, CA, or similar are preferred. - 6-10 years of relevant experience in business valuation or financial advisory. - Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. - In-depth understanding of valuation methodologies and industry standards. - Experience in regulatory valuations is a plus. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines. - Strong leadership skills to mentor and supervise junior staff. Preferred experience areas for this role include Financial Reporting Valuations (PPA, Goodwill Impairment), M&A and Transaction Advisory Support, Start-up/early-stage company valuation, Valuation for fundraising, ESOPs, or tax compliance, and Valuation of derivative instruments. Exposure to multiple sectors such as Tech, Healthcare, Industrials, etc. would be beneficial for this role.,
