Role Overview: You will be the IT Senior Group Manager responsible for managing multiple teams through other managers. You must have an in-depth understanding of how your own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. It is essential for you to have a good understanding of the industry, direct competitors" products and services to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Your role will require a thorough understanding of the strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, along with a solid conceptual and practical grounding in both the function and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills are a must for negotiating internally, often at a senior level, and some external communication/negotiation may also be necessary. You will be responsible for executing the functional strategy in the area managed, determining the approach to implementing the functional strategy. Your accountability will cover end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation, and contribution to the future strategy of the area(s). The impact of your role will reflect the size of the team managed, strategic influence on the business, and interaction with other functions or businesses. You will have full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget, planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and budget approval. Additionally, you may be involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities. Typically, you will report directly to a C16 role and function as an integral member of the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job family, or line of business. Key Responsibilities: - Ensuring managed areas are defining and implementing systems aligned with business strategy and goals - Resolving a variety of broad-based and complex issues - Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of how your sub-function integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives - Providing evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations - Impacting the technology sub-function by strategic influence, resource control, budget management, and planning - Influencing and negotiating with senior leaders across functions, and potentially with external parties - Appropriately assessing risk when making business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, and driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations Qualifications: - 15+ years of experience in multiple technology disciplines with extensive experience in business, functional, and people management - Proficiency in budget management, risk & control management, influencing skills - Experience in automated testing - Managerial experience Education: - Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred Please note that the Job Family Group is Technology, and the Job Family is Technology Management.
