About the Role:
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Direction
- Define and lead the product strategy for Cleaning Validation, Analytical Method Validation, and Process Validation lifecycle within the SmartGxP platform.
- Ensure strategic alignment with platform architecture, lifecycle roadmap, and corporate objectives.
- Identify innovation opportunities, competitive differentiation, and emerging regulatory or scientific trends that should shape the product portfolio.
- Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Owners.
- Set clear expectations, provide direction and coaching, and cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Build organizational capability by hiring top talent, developing career paths, and establishing product management standards and best practices.
- Ensure the team is equipped to deliver clear requirements, high-quality documentation, and release-ready workflows.
- Product Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Oversee the full product lifecycle from discovery and design through development, launch, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure delivery of clear, testable, engineering-ready requirements, including specifications, user stories, and process flows.
- Drive predictable execution by prioritizing work based on customer value, risk, and strategic impact.
- Maintain high product quality standards that meet scalability, usability, and regulatory expectations.
- Define KPIs and success metrics for product performance; enable data-driven decisions and course-correction.
- Cross-Functional Alignment & Stakeholder Leadership
- Partner closely with Engineering, Platform/Technical Product Management, UX, Quality, and Implementation to ensure coordinated planning and successful delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Growth, Product Ops, and customer-facing teams to support go-to-market readiness, enablement, and adoption.
- Champion strong communication and alignment across global teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and execution momentum.
- Customer, Market & Regulatory Insight
- Engage regularly with customers, industry experts, and the broader market to understand evolving validation practices and unmet needs.
- Translate insights into actionable initiatives that improve product-market fit and competitive positioning.
- Monitor global regulatory trends (FDA, EMA, ICH Q8-Q14) and ensure products support best-practice and compliant workflows.
Requirements
- 10+ years of combined experience in Process validation, cleaning validation and analytical sciences, MSAT or related pharma/biotech domains.
- Deep expertise in Cleaning Validation, Analytical Method Validation, and Process Validation.
- Proven ability to create detailed functional specifications, workflows, and validation-aligned requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with experience influencing cross-functional teams and driving delivery without direct authority.
- Advanced communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to executives, engineers, and customers.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience delivering enterprise or regulated-industry software solutions.
- Preferred
- Master s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline.
- Prior experience with LIMS, QMS, MES, cleaning, analytical/validation systems.
- Familiarity with QbD, design spaces, method lifecycle management, and risk-based validation frameworks.
- Product management certifications (e.g., Pragmatic, CSPO, Scrum Master).
- Global collaboration experience; willingness to travel periodically.
