Job Description

As the strategic business leader of the property's food and beverage/culinary operation, including Restaurants/Bars, Room Service, and Banquets/Catering, you will oversee the development and implementation of departmental strategies. Your role will involve ensuring the implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives to meet the brand's target customer needs. You will focus on employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and maximizing the financial performance of the department. Developing and implementing property-wide strategies to deliver products and services that exceed the expectations of the brand's target customers and property employees will be a key responsibility to provide a return on investment. For the ideal candidate profile, you should possess a high school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, event management, or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in relevant fields with 4 years of experience is acceptable. Skills and knowledge in customer and personal service, management of financial resources, administration and management, applied business knowledge, and management of material resources are essential for this role. Your core work activities will involve setting expectations and holding the food and beverage leadership team accountable, managing budgets, leading the food and beverage/culinary team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and conducting human resource activities. You will be responsible for developing goals, reviewing financial reports, managing budgets, leading the team, and providing exceptional customer service by going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Additionally, your responsibilities will include managing and conducting human resource activities such as providing guidance to subordinates, coaching the team, setting performance standards, and hiring team members with strong functional expertise. You will also need to inform relevant stakeholders of important information, analyze data to solve problems, estimate consumption of food and beverages, and order necessary equipment and supplies.
