As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have overall ownership of technology for your products, ensuring that technology serves as a core driver of the business. Your responsibilities will include setting up a vision for the engineering function, defining and owning both long-term roadmap and short-term priorities, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions. You will lead technology choices, architecture decisions, and end-to-end development to build robust, scalable, and world-class technology solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for building a highly decentralised organisation capable of delivering high-quality products in a rapidly changing environment. Key Responsibilities: - Own the technology for your products to drive meaningful impact on the top line and bottom line - Define and own the long-term roadmap and short-term priorities for the engineering function - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions - Lead technology choices, architecture decisions, and end-to-end development for robust, scalable technology solutions - Build and manage a highly talented technology team, setting clear career paths and ensuring high performance - Identify opportunities for improvements in business, technology, and processes, championing engineering and operational excellence Qualifications Required: - 15-20 years of strong programming experience leading large teams - Java web development experience on large-scale, high-volume sites or web applications - Inspirational leadership skills with a passion for problem-solving - Deep technical knowledge in software, systems, and security - Experience in team management, hiring, and nurturing top-notch engineers - Hands-on coding experience with enterprise-level code - Bachelor's or Master's degree Additional Company Details: - Job Types: Full-time, Permanent - Schedule: Monday to Friday, Morning shift - Work Location: In person Please note that this is a diversity role open exclusively to female candidates.
