Role Overview: As the Sr. Group Manager/Director of Engineering Excellence, your primary responsibility will be to lead and drive engineering excellence across the organization. You will play a key role in establishing best practices, fostering innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions. Your strategic leadership will empower development teams, oversee the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, and align engineering strategies with business objectives to create a high-performing team environment. Key Responsibilities: - Define and implement the organization's engineering excellence vision, strategy, and roadmap. - Champion the adoption of modern engineering practices such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies. - Partner with senior leadership to align engineering strategies with business objectives. - Lead organizational change initiatives to ensure successful adoption of cloud-native, containerized, serverless technologies, and AI-augmented architectures. - Establish and lead Generative AI initiatives for software development, testing, and operational improvements. - Drive the integration of AI-assisted tools for automated code generation, predictive analysis, and intelligent test case creation. - Identify and evaluate emerging technologies such as AI/ML, low-code platforms, and observability tools. - Mentor and guide engineering managers and team members in leadership development and career progression. - Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate engineering productivity, quality, and delivery timelines. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role. - Proven track record of leading large-scale software development initiatives with a focus on cloud-based and enterprise-scale systems. - Expertise in modern software development frameworks and architectures, including microservices, event-driven systems, serverless, and AI-augmented technologies. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing requirements. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience in healthcare or regulated industries is preferred. - Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Developer, Azure Solutions Architect) are desirable.
